As part of VE Day 80th celebrations St John’s will be open from 10.30am-3.30pm for anyone to visit, maybe sit a while and reflect in this beautiful building, maybe light a candle from the Candle of Peace as a sign of the light of hope and love which can never be overcome by the darkness of war, or offer a prayer of thanksgiving for those who gave their lives for victory so that peace might be their gift to us. We pray for the valuing and protecting of that gift in an increasingly hostile world.
