St John’s Ladies Group aim is to further Christian Fellowship between the church and the wider community in our parish. We are affiliated to St John’s Church but administer our finances independently as our membership is not exclusively Church based.

The group meets at 2.30pm on the second Tuesday of the month in St Luke’s, the daughter church of St John’s, which is on Mayors Walk. We have a very wide programme with speakers from many walks of life. These include items on local history, wildlife subjects and charities, which not only inform but advise on many different aspects of our lives. We also like to organise the occasional meal at a local venue and try to arrange an outing and an evening at the theatre.

We are a small group of ladies who come together for an afternoon of social fellowship between not only our two churches but also with the people in the local community.
