IMG_2887Congratulations! Feeling ready to enter into a life-long commitment with your partner is an exciting and possibly quite terrifying prospect! Please contact us to discuss how we might accompany you in your preparations and as you enter this most amazing commitment of trust and faithfulness.

The Church of England defines marriage as being between one man and one woman. We are bound by this definition but welcome enquires from same-sex couples who would like to explore how this church community can support and affirm them with their commitment, which may include prayers following civil partnership or marriage at a registry office, or in a church of another denomination. You can read our statement welcoming the recent decision by the Church of England approving blessings for same-sex couples.

You do not need to be baptised or to attend church in order to be married in church so we would encourage you to contact us to talk this through. We welcome enquiries from those who have been divorced. Approaches are also welcomed from foreign nationals. There are certain requirements which need to be met in order for you to be married in church so do have a look at the website http://www.yourchurchwedding.org and drop us a line. A conversation is often the best way forward.

To make arrangements for weddings, marriage blessings, renewals of vows etc., please contact our Parish Administrator on 01733 563978 or use the “Contact Us” form.

There are some fees for a Church of England wedding. These include everything needed for your wedding to take place and also the additional extras available. We will be happy to discuss your requirements as part of preparing for the service.

The basic fees for 2024 (including church, legal fees and organist) are £741.  Additional fees have to be charged for heating, choir, flowers and bells where required – see our fees table for more information.
