Foodbank

You can donate food and other items for Peterborough Foodbank at either St John’s or St Luke’s. Donated items are collected regularly for distribution to those in need.

If you need help from the Foodbank then you will need to obtain a Foodbank voucher. Information about hot to do this can be found on the “How to Get Help” page of the Peterborough Foodbank website. Once you have a voucher you will have to go to one of the foodbank centres (Dogsthorpe Methodist Church;  Church of the Holy Spirit, Bretton; Salvation Army; Christ the Servant King, Hampton.) Up to date information about the opening hours and locations of the foodbank centres can be found on the “Locations” page of the Foodbank website.

Support Hubs

St John’s is one of a number of locations across the city operating as ‘Community Support Hubs‘. Like other hubs, our opening hours and the kinds of help available will vary according to seasonal need and our capacity.

Other sources of help for food

Help is also available from other local groups including Peterborough Soup Kitchen, Foodcycle, and the Community Fridge.  This has been summarised in this  Weekly Food schedule spreadsheet.
