The Feast of Candlemas concludes the glorious season of Christmas and is the day we remember how Jesus, at 6 weeks old, is taken to the Temple in Jerusalem to be blessed. There two old people – Simeon and Anna – recognise him as the Messiah, the one who brings the light of God’s love to a world in darkness. Come and celebrate with us with a special service with candles at St Luke’s at 9.15am and St John’s at 11am. All welcome!
