On Sunday 16^th October the Great Eastern Run  will be taking place, which means there will be many road closures around the city for much of the day.  So, as the run takes place on the Sunday nearest to the Feast Day of St Luke, we’ll be making a virtue of necessity and instead of our usual 9.15am and 11am services at St Luke’s and St John’s, we’ll be gathering together for a combined service at 10.30am in St Luke’s to celebrate its patronal festival.  There will be NO SERVICE at St John’s that day. There are also various special events being celebrated after the service with some special refreshments,  and then we’ll also join together for a Parish lunch at the Great Northern Hotel .
