Second Sunday of Lent

Jesus says – if anyone wants to follow me, they must deny themself, take up their cross and follow me..

Lent and Holy Week are there in the Church’s Year to prepare us to meet the risen Jesus..

Seeing and knowing Jesus is what makes God real for us.

We all benefit from the works of Jesus, but do we see them, do we acknowledge them?

How would we respond if Jesus were to return into the midst of us here today and say ‘Follow me’?

God calls Samuel, and Jesus calls his disciples – and now 2000 years on he calls us ‘Come & See’..

This Epiphany – let the light of the Star reveal to us the wonder of the gift we’ve been given..

Christmas is so simple – it is light in the darkness, hope in despair, it is love in the world..

..and it is for love, and through love and because of love that we have Christmas.
